Historic Buildings

Our approach to historic building work puts conservation of the existing fabric high on the list of priorities. Where building fabric needs to be repaired or replaced, doing so with traditional materials and building techniques is fundamental. We have experience with lime-based mortars, stonework and oak repairs. Most of our jobs involve close liaison with Cadw, and some with the Conservation Architects in the Snowdonia National Park Authority.

In addition to this work, Frances gives advice on Building Preservation Trusts, in particular advice on setting up a Trust.

Adam has been involved with the Buildings at Risk register at the Snowdonia National Park Authority, helping visit and assessing the condition of the many listed buildings within the Park.

Clients include the National Trust, the Landmark Trust, Cadw.
